  The best smoked ribs I have EVER had. My husband had the chicken, and it fell off the bone. The BBQ sauce is clearly homemade and delicious, and the smokey flavor was in everything. We will be back!

  My sister ranted and raved about this outdoor BBQ place but it wasn't as spectacular as she claimed. Granted nice atmosphere, customer service was good but you need a LOT of help with the food and maybe more business will come. We drove 75 miles to the middle of nowhere and spent $100 for substandard platters that were like kids meals. I had more juice then greens, hush puppies were salty and hard, OMG the potato salad I had to spit out because the potatoes were rock hard.for $5 a side that's horrible!!! I expected so much more for the amount of money and traveling that we did I'm so disappointed. I will not be returning and that's a shame. Hopefully this will inspire you to take a look at your menu.   Sauce was watery and flavorless. Pulled pork way too much vinegar. Bbq chicken was chewy. Fried fish was flavorless. Complete 180 from 6-7 years ago. Dewey definitely mot cooking his food. Such a shame, he basically family but i can no longer support this establishment.

  My husband and I have been passing by Uncle Deweys for many years going back to Pennsylvania. On Saturday we finally got the chance to see them open. My husband, Mother and her husband and myself stopped for takeout. The food was horrible and if I could give a 0, I would. The portions of the greens and potato salad wasn't even enough for a child. The ribs was literally 3 bones in each box with bbq sauce on them. My Mother told me hers was not even done. She had to recook them to eat the little bit of meat that was on them. I didn't even try to eat mine. The sweet potato pie was a joke. I'm a home baker and make sweet potato pie myself, so I thought I would try theirs. The slice was so small and it was about 1/2 inch thick. I'm a deep dish pie maker, so I thought this is a disgrace. My husband had the banana pudding and he said, he could only say it was fair. We all decided that we really looked forward to going to Uncle Deweys, however we will never go again. Maybe the food is different if you eat it there, but takeout is very poor quality.
